New registrations for just about all 2 letter domain names are no longer allowed, so the only place to pick up one is via an auction or resale. 2 letter domains are easily brandable and can be very valuable. There are not many 2 letter LL domains available on the market and those that are for sale usually command a premium price or will sell extremely quickly.
